A setting of revolution in a Gothic 18th century that never was. Players in this session will be credited as playtesters.
Set in a world where vampires reign over humans, "The King is Dead" evokes such TV shows as "Outlander," "Sleepy Hollow," and "Turn" and TURN and such films aS "Brotherhood of the Wolf" and Hammer Films' "Karnstein Trilogy."'The heroes are hunters but also the hunted, meeting in secret societies to plot the overthrow of a literally bloodthirsty aristocracy that has ruled for a thousand years. In "Vargr," players will seek out answers to mysterious brutal killings inThornmark. The civilians that are often prey must be protected. A game of intrigue and espionage, "The King is Dead" takes players to a Gothic 18th century that would have made Anne Radcliffe and Charlotte Bronte proud. The game is set in the courts of Malleus, a mash-up of Britain, France, and Germany. Vampires, lead by King Wilhelm, rule the island nation, treating their human subjects as both sheep and sheepdogs.
Warnings: The event was originally listed with rules of "Savage Worlds (1st)." It has been changed to "Savage Worlds (1st Edition)."
