The Monument Circle tour is designed to give tourists an in-depth look at the history and stories behind one of the most beloved sites in Indianapolis. Many visitors and residents pass through the Circle on a daily basis without realizing that the structures and monuments on the Circle tell the story of the city’s past. From the beginning of the city to the current day, Monument Circle has been a gathering place where the residents of Indianapolis have shared in local and national tragedies and triumphs, in addition to the activities of daily life. The tour examines the history of each quadrant in addition to the interior circle and includes an interior look at Christ Church Cathedral and the Columbia Club.
