The 3rd Annual Rowboat Tournament on Friday evening and Saturday at Gen Con 2013 (Single elimination, 1v1, 32 player format). One entry per person so please only sign up for your preferred Friday time slot! $500 in Troll and Toad vouchers will be awarded! Rowboat is the bidding, trick-taking game where trump changes at every turn. It is a 61 card deck with 4 ocean-themed suits, plus 3 specialty cards. Cards are dealt face up in the center of play until all 4 suits appear. This spread of cards is called 'The Tide'. Each player then receives the same number of cards that are in The Tide. Bid on how many tricks you will win. Use the cards in your hand to navigate your way through the tide. Use specialty cards to get out of a jam or set your opponent. Make your bid and score points. Fall short and lose points. Games are to 200 points and cannot exceed 2.5 hrs.
The event was originally listed with rules of "Rowboat (2nd)." It has been changed to "Rowboat (2nd Edition)."
