The Bearers of Hope find the adventurers as part of a movement to reclaim the fallen Bone Citadel, and rid the surrounding area of the White Glut once & for all. One year ago, four adventurers set out to recover a stolen additive for a cure to the White Glut. Though the additive was destroyed, and two of the four adventurers sacrificed themselves, the overlord of the Bone Citadel was destroyed, and production of the plague ceased. Now, Fortunato and Matron Lilith, the two surviving members of that adventuring group, seek to return to the heart of the Valley of Bones and eradicate any trace of the White Glut.
