A tile-laying, hand management game set in imperial China. Preview this game with the publisher in advance of a Fall 2014 Kickstarter campaign.
In Lanterns, players have a hand of tiles that depict various colors and arrangements of floating lanterns. On a turn, a player places a tile adjacent to an existing tile. Every player receives lantern cards based on the colors on the placed tile, the adjacent tiles, and the orientation of the tile. Players earn imperial favor by trading sets of lantern cards at the market and placing tiles in certain arrangements, and the player with the most imperial favor at the end of the game wins.
