INTERMEDIATE LEVEL. Hands on, paint provided. Learn theory, colour choices and application tips to paint blacker blacks and whiter whites. Includes a free Dark Sword mini and 4 page colour handout.
Are you tired of painting gray-looking blacks and blue or dingy looking whites on your miniature figures? Black and white really are a little tricker to paint! Join award-winning painter Rhonda ‘Wren’ Bender for a hands-on look at painting better blacks and whiter whites. Topics include the theory behind what makes these colours different to paint, simulating different types of surfaces (hair, cloth and leather), and colour choices for highlighting black and shading white more effectively. IMPORTANT NOTE: This is an INTERMEDIATE LEVEL class, and assumes attendees have at least some prior experience with techniques such as layering (or wet blending, two brush blending, etc.) to create transitions between highlights and shadows.
