Join award-winning painter Rhonda ‘Wren’ Bender for a hands-on look at painting transparent fabric on miniature figures. Topics include choosing a good miniature for the effect, visualizing the transparent material and the skin underneath, how the cloth affects the colour of the underlying skin, and colour choices for shades and highlights to best simulate the effect. Each attendee receives a free high-quality figure from Dark Sword Miniatures, and a 5-page colour hand-out. Paints and other supplies are provided, but you are encouraged to bring a good brush. IMPORTANT NOTE: This is an INTERMEDIATE LEVEL class, and assumes attendees have some prior experience with techniques such as layering (or wet blending, two brush blending, etc.) to create smooth transitions.
