A generation ago, the Scorpion Champion fell to plague, cursed to walk the land as undead. The time to end the Scorpion's shame is at hand. Who will stand with them?
A generation ago, a terrible plague cursed the Empire. Those who succumbed to it were born again, plague dead. 1000's of Rokugani perished and then rose to walk again in the final insult to their honor and their families. Countless enraged samurai rode the land to purge this dishonor. As the Destroyer War waned, the plague-dead were returned to the ash from whence they came, and the horror was left behind... Save for one incredibly deadly exception. For more than a generation, the corpse of former Scorpion Champion has walked the earth, hidden by shadows, eluding the hunters. The Disgrace, as the beast is known, has vexed the Scorpion endlessly. Bayushi Nitoshi, son of the Disgrace and current Scorpion Champion, will see the Disgrace destroyed. The winner of this tournament will determine the clan affiliation of the samurai who stands at his side when the final blow is at last struck.
