Come see the pilot episode and American premiere of Chaldea, a fantasy web series by Peter Adkison. Chaldea mixes film and comic-style art to create an innovative transmedia experience.
A short film and pilot episode for a unique fantasy world and web series that borrows heavily on real-world mythology and history. Stefan Hajek (Decimation, The Devil Walks in Salem) plays Legatus Reiswitz Gustavus, commander of an Imperial Legion, who seeks out the help of a toy maker played by Uncle Duke Seifried (historical miniatures guru, former VP at TSR) and his wife (Annette Baker) to create exquisite toy soldiers for use in war games designed to train officers and save lives in a bloody world conflict that looms on the horizon. The Chaldea series will tell an epic fantasy story in multiple platforms (including digital graphic novels) with its tableau of memorable characters, dramatic through-lines, and high fantasy. Not in this short film, but joining Chaldea in Season 1 are Jen Page (The Gamers, Journey Quest) and Sarah Moore (Gamer Chick, The Gamers).
