Introducing Numenera, a world or setting based on the Cypher System from Monte Cook games. Unlike many RPGs which rely heavily on dice rolling and tables, the Cypher System relies on Roleplaying. Numenera is set in the far, far distant future, after many great civilizations have risen and fallen. The Player Characters explore the now-ancient ruins of these civilizations to discover the wonders of these long-lost people. But like Arthur C. Clarke said, “Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic,†so many of the people of the setting--called the Ninth World--look upon the secrets of the past as being magical rather than technological. The system is quite simple and I can teach it to you in just 10 minutes. That is right, a whole system in just 10 minutes.
