We'll discuss both the positive & negative portrayals of gamers (of all types) in motion pictures, television & other media.

Come join Seth Polansky, Kelley Slagle, Brian Stillman and Ben Dobyns (indie moviemakers), Holland Farkas (Geek and Sundry movie critic), and Chuck Budreau (GenCon Film Festival Director) for a fun and frank discussion of the portrayal of gamers in modern media. Whether you’re into RPG’s, CCG’s, miniature gaming, MMORPG’s or any of the other wide and varied flavors of our hobby, one thing remains constant - the portrayal of gamers in movies and media. While we should all be thrilled with the modern renaissance of gaming and the sheer number of appearances gamers are making in movies and media, the real intent of this panel is dispel some of those stereotypes. Depending on the initial uptake/registrations we may add more panelists, so stay tuned!
