Combining Japanese and English binding styles, the Belgian style first creates a 3 piece wood cover and then adds a multi-section book block.
Once you have learned enough binding styles, you will find that anything can be used to make a book. We will use wood to create the covers and spine, but metal, cardboard, leather, or even stone tiles could be used with this technique. This is the first time we have offered a Belgian style binding workshop.
